 Art Deco flourished internationally between 1925 and the 1940s. As a revolt against the sinuous forms of Art Nouveau, the Art Deco style drew on concepts of speed and angular aesthetics of post-war industrial progress.  It also adopted modern materials such as stainless steel in combination with luxurious materials.
