Coterie 6 is a minimalist interpretation on paper of Calder’s famous mobiles and features a single, unbroken hand-drawn graphite line that is looped to represent a mobile wire. The art elements of line, shape, and movement come together in this playful series. Beginning at the top of the picture plane, the line extends leftward, loops, then descends until it reaches an olive-green globe. A small black dot provides a focal point for the eye.
