Product Description: Traversing the Blue I recalls the early work of Robert Motherwell, the influential American Abstract Expressionist painter. This abstract composition relies on shape and color to convey depth and dimension that creates the illusion of space, volume, and perspective. A collage effect is found in the embedded scraps of newsprint. The color scheme supports the illusion with a dense slate blue backdrop that is interrupted by a wash of smokey white and an overlay of solid bone white.
