Empire – Neo Classical

The formative features of this style were Napoleon Bonaparte’s aspirations to be seen as a re-incarnation of the Roman emperors. It’s often regarded as a continuation of Neo-Classicism but has a more architectural feel. Many pieces took their inspiration from France’s archeological discoveries in Egypt.
